Chapter two
A new beginning of Anne
Anne awoke to sunlight window. For moment she could not remember where she was, but she realized this was the Green Gables. Anne, Marilla and Matthew had breakfast together.
After lunch Marilla and Anne went to Mrs. Spencer's house. Anne explained Marilla how and where she lived. Anne lost her parents, while she was only three months old. They died of fever. They had no relatives to take her. The neighbor Mrs. Thomas took her and she lived with her family for eight years. Mrs. Thomson was killed. She went to live with Mrs. Hammond about two years until Mrs. Hammond died in an accident. Anne was in an orphanage for four months until Mrs. Spencer came.
On the next day, Marilla and Matthew announced Mrs. Spencer for their decision to keep little Anne.
Anne was so happy to knew the great news. She whispered to herself, "You are only Anne of the Green Gables."
